Welcome to SEACAMS

SEACAMS is a new strategic development to integrate research and business opportunities in the marine sector. The objective is to expand the marine sector at a time when there are unprecedented environmental and socio-economic challenges related to climate change and enormous opportunities for research and commercial activity in the environmental sector. SEACAMS welcomes new collaborative links with industrial partners who share our vision and who wish to exploit new opportunities in these areas. We invite individuals and organisations to join us in this venture, and to take advantage of the special combination of factors that will make SEACAMS a major global resource for companies with the ambition to embrace a sustainable future.

The Offer

SEACAMS invites businesses in the Marine and Coastal Sectors to participate in this exciting opportunity offering linkages to the knowledge base of the Universities in Wales to promote innovation and expansion of the Marine and Coastal sector. Collaborations, interactions, access to and use of facilities will provide added value to businesses, government agencies and universities leading to increased economic sustainability in this sector.

Facilities on offer to businesses working on collaborative projects with, or being assisted by, SEACAMS include:

• Office space in the new Innovation Centre on the Ocean Sciences site in Menai Bridge, available whilst working with SEACAMS
• Access to specialised new laboratories and equipment
• Access to existing facilities of all the University partners (Bangor, Swansea and Aberystwyth)
• Easy collaboration with academia and Government agencies (also based in the centre)
• Access to small boats for inshore work and to the RV Prince Madog for offshore work.
